Well that’s bullshit, according to what astronomy?
Just because the light from the star can take hundreds, thousands, millions of years to reach your retina does not mean the star no longer exists. If any star that we see in the observable universe had a lifespan of a few million years or by some freak coincidence all of those stars went supernova at similar times… then we wouldn’t even exist because who knows, maybe our sun would do the same. Yeah I know that I’m saying “oh a couple of million years…” I’m well aware that this doesn’t imply a short lifespan for stars, but it’s still such a douchey, shit post. Most stars last for billions of years, if I were a star I’d hope to collapse and form a black hole, so I could suck all the fun out of retarded posts.
